John Batchelor and I welcomed back Dr. Haym Benaroya to discuss the EMP threat, both natural and as a result of a weapon attack, what we can do about it and what we are doing about it.  During this one segment Hotel Mars program, Dr. Benaroya discussed what an EMP actually is and what it does.  He talked about it being natural, a CME for example, or a nuclear or other weapon attack by one of the rogue nations which he identified for us.  Hardening technologies were discussed as was the cost of doing the necessary upgrades.  He went over the likely results of an EMP attach on our country and why it should be a priority that we become EMP resistant and prepared.  At the end of the segment, he said there was a lack of public interest and pressure upon government officials, both state and federal, to invest in EMP hardening for the nation.
