Dave Micheletti, President of the Montana Aerospace Development Association (MADA), was the guest for this edition of The Space Show.™ Mr. Micheletti explained the efforts underway in the State of Montana to attract, support, and develop an entrepreneurial space industry. MADA is not only partnering with state universities, the government, business and trade associations within the state, it is also working with NASA Langley, the aerospace industry, the nation's science labs, the National Space Science and Technology center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and more. Mr. Micheletti also explained the various programs in place to support entrepreneurial businesses development and MADA outreach to public schools across the state. New development projects coming to Montana were discussed such as the newly approved Maria II Hypersonic Wind Tunnel Program funding bill signed by President Bush. Dave Micheletti puts forth a cogent argument for a space entrepreneurial business to be located in Montana. He explains how Montana is able to compete against larger states with more money. It is important for Montana a to be active in this business arena. It is another piece of vital evidence that shows our nation moving toward a space-faring economy which is inclusive, not just available to the few and the wealthiest. Dave will be returning to the program to keep Space Show listeners updated on important developments with this emerging business sector in Montana.
