Feedback: What did you think of this show?:

Fraser Cain, publisher of Universe Today (www.universetoday.com) was the guest on this edition of The Space Show. We discussed his having created Universe Today, how he gathers and reports the news, his editorial bias, the Forum which provides a great opportunity for those interested in space to discuss many topics and find answers to lots of questions. Mr. Cain has read all 60 pages of the Aldridge report and spoke to us about the visionary direction the report focuses on, saying that implementation within the NASA culture may be the most challenging thing about the report. He feels the report is very positive for space development. We also spoke to him about Canadian perceptions and interest in space, we learned about some important differences between Canadian and American points of view on space as well as on other issues. Mr. Cain also updated us on the Cassini mission and news from the two Mars Rovers. We talked extensively about the coming launch of Space Ship One and what this might mean for space tourism, the suborbital industry, NASA, and the private sector in space. We spoke about the Moon, Mars, the Hubble telescope and other new telescopes with new technology that are being built and deployed here on Earth. Drawing on his business experience with software and leading edge technology, Mr. Cain shared with us several good examples of how important it is to be able to have culture and management change within an organization. He applied these examples to NASA throughout the program, thus making this show very interesting and informative, with perspectives from someone who knows his "stuff" north of our border. Its a show you will not want to miss!
