We welcomed both Dr. Benaroya and Dr. Belfer to this 1 hour 43 minute discussion of the Josef Blumrich book, "The Space Ships of Ezekiel."  I started the discussion by introducing Dr. Benaroya, then asking him how he got the book from Dr. Belfer and his asking Dr. Belfer to take us into the world Ezekiel and his 2500 year old spaceship which seems to have been a type of descent and ascent vehicle from orbit or space to Earth and then back up to the main ship.  Dr. Belfer prepared extensive notes from the Blumrich book which the three f us referenced during the program.  With Dr. Belfer's consent, I have posted his two part set of notes on our blog.  I suggest you review them as they will certainly enhance and in some instances clarify much of what our guests talked about.

This program was not about ETs and spaceships in the Bible.  What I found interesting and acceptable for The Space Show was the fact that the book's author, Josef F. Blumrich, was a real aerospace engineer, worked at NASA Marshall, came over from Germany after the war with Von Braun and others, then worked on the Saturn V, the shuttle, Skylab and other advanced engineering concepts before he retired.  He discovered Ezekiel and based on the description of what Ezekiel said he saw and wrote down, Blumrich thought it was not that different from our human spaceflight technology of the Apollo program era.  Thus, Blumrich wrote the book we talked about tonight.  While biblical scholars may see the Ezekiel craft differently than Blumrich, Blumrich saw the craft and the description in the context of spaceship technology that he was working with at the time.  The Blumrich perspective was unique and clearly not theological.
