Rafel Jordá, CEO and founder of Open Cosmos, is a young Spaniard, 31 years old, who has always been an enthusiast of science and space, motivated by the pages of National Geographic magazine that his parents collected in the family home.

He is a space engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, specialising in space infrastructure and holds an MBA. He worked in different startups related to the development of space technology, as well as in Airbus before going to the United Kingdom to embark on his own project. There he began his mission to attract talent from all over the world to found, at the age of 25, Open Cosmos, a company with a meteoric rise, of which he is currently the CEO.

His curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit led him to respond with Open Cosmos to a pressing need in a traditional and slow-moving sector: to democratize space by developing complete space missions, much faster and more flexible in terms of technology, costs and time.
