Ed Wright

Edward Wright is senior researcher at the Space Studies Institute and chairman for SSI’s 50th anniversary conference, SSI:50, “The Space Settlement Initiative.” has more than 30 years of experience in the aviation, space, and computer industries. He is the former vice-president of ProSpace America, founder of Citizens in Space, founder and chairman of he United States Rocket Academy, and founder and president of Starbase Operations, LLC. He was responsible for the development of the Lynx Cub Payload Carrier and Lynx Cub Ultra-High-Definition Planetarium Camera System. He was Science Mission Specialist on test flights that demonstrated the use of a modified L-39C jet trainer to simulate approach and landing for the XCOR Lynx spacecraft. Due to contributions to commercial space, he was awarded the rank of Admiral in the Texas Navy by Governor Rick Perry.
