Dr. Paul Spudis returned for this special two hour program to discuss why we should return to the Moon. In Segment 1, Dr. Spudis talked about the Moon as a transitioning resource and our training ground for how we can learn to live and settle in space. He said that the way the VSE has evolved, its gotten away from the true mission of our return to the Moon. This is a discussion that you must hear and its repeated throughout this two hour show.

Guest: Jeffrey Roth. Topics: Hollywood films, blockbusters, documentaries, "The Wonder Of It All", Moonwalker astronauts. Jeff Roth, noted documentary filmmaker, returned to The Space Show to discuss his outstanding documentary film, "The Wonder of It All" which tells the humanistic side of the moon landings through the men who actually went to the Moon and walked on the surface of the Moon. Jeff interviewed seven of the nine remaining Moonwalkers and in this film, you will hear about the experience in their own words.

Piers Bizony was the special guest for this Space Show program. Mr. Bizony, joining us from the UK, is author of the new book, "The Man Who Ran The Moon: James E. Webb, NASA, And The Secret History Of Project Apollo." We entertained an in-depth discussion about Mr. Webb, the early days of NASA, his leadership, NASA after James Webb, and the Apollo program. We also discussed NASA leadership today, the similarities with the original Apollo program, a return to a sort of Apollo program for our return to the Moon, the Viet Nam war and the Iraqi war.

Broadcast 446 (Special Edition)

Rod Pyle, author of "Destination Moon: The Apollo Missions in the Astronauts' Own Words," was the guest for this Space Show program. Mr. Pyle discussed the views of the Apollo program and our current space program with many of the Apollo era astronauts and Moon walkers. We discussed their comments, thoughts, recommendations, etc. on air. Mr. Pyle also talked about others involved in the Apollo program, not just astronauts. For example, Chris Kraft and Gene Krantz. Rod spoke about the futuristic comments by Alan Bean, most of which seem to be very true today.
