Declan O'Donnell returned as The Space Show guest to discuss space governance and the unique concept of the Space Authority Bank as a way to finance space development. During Segment 1, Declan provided us with the basics for this discussion starting with the five United Nations space treaties, the basics of space governance, and a comparison of the U.S. concept of space as a frontier as contrasted to the Canadian experience of frontier development with their Mounties.

Dr. Sherry Bell was our guest today to discuss the new Aerospace Technolgy Working Group (ATWG) book, "Living In Space: Cultural And Social Dynamics, Opportunities, And Challenges In Permanent Space Habitats." Dr. Bell told us about several of the chapters including a forward by Dr. Buzz Aldrin and others which separates commercial space from NASA and calls for the establishment of a cabinet level Department of Space.

Brian Weeden and Ben Baseley-Walker of the Secure World Foundation presented solid information and strategies for addressing problems around space traffic management and space situational awareness. Our guests were very realistic about the topics discusse. Not only did we talk about space policy and how policy is created, we talked about space weaponization and ways to avoid it, such as the distributive satellite defense.

We went into detail about all of these subjects during the show, starting with the intelligence discussion and the work being done by Dr. Ben-Jacobs and Dr. Isaacson. Declan O'Donnell returned to The Space Show to discuss the latest on issues relating to space governance. This discussion opened up additional topics including the impact on space governance and the financial markets for the success of Space Ship One and Burt Rutan, the developing suborbital tourism industry and enabling legislation for this industry. Mr. O'Donnell also explained the impact of treaty law on US law as treaty law takes precedence per our constitution.
