John Batchelor and I welcomed back Doug Messier of Parabolic Arc for a double segment Hotel Mars discussion regarding the recent Falcon 9 explosion during their test plus other launch company issues, plans and developments.  Regarding the Falcon 9 explosion, we talked about possible causes, return to flight, using a different launch pad if the Falcon 9 pad was not fixed, a possible November Falcon 9 launch if the cause of the accident is known, plus other issues & concerns impacting SpaceX quality control, manufacturing and more.  Other items discussed on the program included updates on Stratolaunch, the return to testing of the new SpaceShip2 vehicle with Virgin Galactic, and the new rockets being introduced by Blue Origin
