John Batchelor and I welcomed back Anatoly Zak of Russian Space Web to discuss the EXOMARS mission which reached Mars.  The Trace Gas Orbiter looking for methane and signs of life has entered Martian orbit and so far looks good.  Unfortunately, communication were lost with the Schiaparelli lander and at the time of this broadcast, it was not clear if the lander made it to the Martian surface.  Concern was that something happened to the lander in the final stages of the landing which probably caused the landing part of EXOMARS to fail.  We also discussed the return to flight of the Soyuz as a new crew for the ISS was successfully launched, is now in orbit and will dock at the ISS in two days.  We talked about the Soyuz cable problems and the latest ISS mission.

You can email Mr. Batchelor or Anatoly Zak  through me at drspace@thespaceshow.com.  Anatoly can be reached through his own website, www.russianspaceweb.com.
